Went gallery hunting a few days back, and saw this artist down at John Pence. I heard heard he went to the same school I attend, and so I looked up more of his work (always good to see this degree is going towards something….!).
It was really neat to see, more than just an amazing body of work, also see an artist evolve. As he got more and more “advanced”, he got much looser. So, its interesting that with his mass amounts of knowledge, he didn’t get any tighter in his work, but instead grew much more dynamic.
I highly suggest his figurative works, even though his land/cityscapes are definitively a stronger attraction.
