So, I’m not really that into concept art. I feel like it has to be churned out so fast, with so little emotional connection and way too much “WOW” factor that things tend to become too stereotypically dramatic. Combine this with often overused and not subtle photo manipulations and texture droppings, and there is a recipe for too-quick art.
But, then an artist comes along that just shreds that whole perception to pieces. These are wonderful, beautiful and poignant. Definitely a completely new class of illustration, done with finesse and confidence that is incredibly awe inspiring and refreshing.
