Robert Heindel

So I want to refrain from calling Robert Heindel the modern day Degas simply because he paints almost solely dancers. I recently went to a show at the YBCA here in San Francisco and was blown away by the dancers there – and I can definitely see how someone can become almost obsessed in their artwork with the bodies and movement incorporated with dance. These  pieces are full of vitality and life, all of them express an intense atmosphere and brings a tear to your eye with their beauty. (Note: I’m an emotional person, so this may not happen to you!)
