Ok. There are way
amazing comics by this artist. If I have the space, I would literally just paste all of them here, but that would be a little too similar to his already wonderfully ran blog (link below). This is the first time I will be linking to a store, as well, but only in the hopes that perhaps someone will take pity on my kind soul and buy me some stuff.
Now is about the time that I show my geek off. These comics hit so close to home. I’ve played (most) of these games, and even in the ones I haven’t, the way he eloquently explains the subtle-yet-adventurous narratives of the plot lines brings me about as close to crying as I’ve been able to come from inanimate objects. He relives older story lines with modern techniques that makes you relive all those beautiful moments you experienced the first play-through. As most of these are Zelda/Link related, I feel I have to explain that Link to the Past was one of my first games I ever played. To this day I still remember everything about it – all the secret chests, how to kill each and every boss effectively and where to go, who to talk to and when to get secret upgrades, etc etc. The franchise is so sentimental for me, and reading these comics brings the point home that maybe I’m not the only one desperate for the kind of adventure those games promised me in life.
Anyways, many of these are actually animated, but wordpress is special in the sense that is is completely arbitrary when it decides to let them automatically animate. But, give em’ a click – the animation is absolutely worth it.
