If anyone ever asks me what kind of dance I like, I always have the same answer as I do for my all my art aesthetics: I like traditional skills applied in contemporary ways. But this can get tricky for me when explaining dance, as I don’t know as much about performing art as I do visual art. I stumble on words, not knowing choreographers or dancers or troupes that I enjoy by name. This often resorts to me doing a crude representation myself which, obviously, does more harm than good in trying to relay what I am saying.
From now on, I will just show them this video. Ugh, and to Sigur Rós too. This video is perfect.
